Banjo, fiddle, and guitar music.

This is my earliest and still great love. I play traditional American folk music, either solo or with an ensemble. In solo playing, I do guitar and banjo with vocals -- literally hundreds of songs from traditions ranging from mountain ballads, early Country, Carter Family, bluegrass, cowboy, hoedown, sea songs, work songs, Great Depression songs, and many others. An ensemble often consists of myself on fiddle and banjo with Karl Franzen on guitar or myself on guitar and banjo and Art Friedman on fiddle. Of course larger ensembles are also available.
